  4.             SUMMARY OF STATE LIVING WILL LEGISLATION

  9. Synopsis: Idaho is a weak living will state. ONLY PATIENTS WITH
  10. A TERMINAL DIAGNOSIS have the right to execute a living will.
  11. The law does not provide for the declaration to be binding or
  12. enforceable against a hospital or physician. To prepare a Idaho
  13. living will using the state suggested form, please select this
  14. option from the main menu. Remember that the publisher recommends 
  15. preparing a "uniform" living will in addition to the form 
  16. suggested with by the State of Idaho. Please also consider 
  17. executing a living will for any State that you spend more than a 
  18. few weeks per year, or where you are a temporary resident.

  27. Witness requirements: Number:  2    Relationship: Witnesses may
  28. not be related by blood or marriage, may not be directly responsible
  29. for the medical costs of the declarant and must be over 189 years 
  30. of age. Further the witnesses must not be the patient's doctor,
  31. an employee of the doctor or of a hospital. Witnesses may not
  32. have any interest in the patient's estate.

  38. Revocation of the living will may be made by tearing, defacing, 
  39. burning, etc. It may be verbally revoked by statements to a 
  40. single witness. Revocation may be made even if the patient
  41. is not competent.
